Monthly Board Meeting Minutes
Monday, December 8, 2014
Trustees of the Villageof Brandon, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsinmet in the Village of Brandon Board Room on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 6:12 p.m.
President, Steve Tetzlaff called the meeting to order and presided. Clerk Corinne Vande Zande recorded the minutes of the meeting.
The following trustees were present: Angie Smit, Kurt Krohn, Carole DeCramer, Dave Tarr and Mike Walgenbach.
The following were present in the audience: Dept. of Public Works Director, Vance Henning.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all those present.
The December 2014 payments (as attached) were approved by the Board on a motion by Trustees DeCramer/Tarr and unanimously passed on a roll call vote.
The financial reports as of December 8, 2014 were approved by the Board on a motion by Trustees DeCramer/Tetzlaff and unanimously passed on a roll call vote.
The minutes of the November 10, 2014 monthly meeting were approved by the Board on a motion by Trustees DeCramer/Krohn and unanimously passed on a voice vote.
Trustee Krohn reported he spoke with a fire department member regarding grants. He was informed grants are scarce and are awarded to departments with older equipment than that of Brandon’s.
On a motion by Trustees Smit/Tarr, passed on a roll call vote, the Board approved the new Joint Agreement for Police Protection with the Villageof Fairwater.
Past Village Trustee, Elizabeth Nolan, was unable to attend tonight’s meeting. President Tetzlaff to present a plaque and Village flag to her another time. Clerk Vande Zande recently presented Cindy Henning with her plaque and flag.
On a motion by Trustees Tetzlaff/Walgenbach, passed on a voice vote, the Board set the Caucus for January 12, 2015 at 5:45 p.m. Monthly meeting to follow at 6:00 p.m.
On a motion by Trustees Tarr/Smit, unanimously carried on a roll call vote, the Board approved Resolution 2015-05 – Establishment of the 2015 Fee Schedule.
The consensus of the Board was for the Clerk to schedule the Christmas party on a date that works for Village employees.
Motion by Trustees Tarr/Walgenbach, carried on a roll call vote, to correct the oversight of Library benefits in QuickBooks beginning with the first payroll in January. Library employees are fully funded, including benefits, by the Library budget. Abstain – DeCramer.
6:55 p.m. Motion by Tarr/Walgenbach to adjourn to closed session per Wisconsin State Statute 19.85 (1)(e) Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require closed session. Roll call vote – 6-ayes, 0-nays.
